Greens Bayou Corridor Coalition

Greens Bayou Corridor Coalition, a 501(c)3 organization, seeks to benefit the economy and enhance the quality of life for the 400,000 residents in the Greens Bayou watershed through flood mitigation, parks and trails development, and economic development. Greens Bayou Corridor Coalition in collaboration with the National Park Service has developed a Master Plan designed to link existing recreational facilities, plan for a linear trail system, and help identify future opportunities. The Greens Bayou corridor has been divided into four geographic committees and the committees work on bringing together partners for project implementation. Each of our outreach committees plan bayou clean-up, tree planting, water quality testing and invasive removal projects to bring about a positive impact to the communities we serve. There are plenty of opportunities for joining the committee or volunteering for one of our events. For more information, please visit our website at http://greensbayou.org.

Patty Potty Patrol
No Wipes In The Pipes!!!

“People are flushing all kinds of things down the toilet!

It’s not a trash can, you know! Some paper products and wipes are advertised as ‘flushable’ but they aren’t. Sure, they will flush down, but they won’t flush OUT. Wipes won’t decompose… they get caught up in wastewater treatment plant screens and filters — and that costs money to clear and repair!”

“Please help protect water quality and our environment — and prevent costly water treatment plant repairs, as well! Take the pledge….NO WIPES IN THE PIPES!”
