The District Needs Election Workers — Training Will Be Provided
Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 96 (the “District”) will be holding a Directors’ Election for three (3) Board of Director positions. The District is a political subdivision of the State of Texas and is subject to provisions of the Texas Election Code governing elections.
ELECTION WORKERS
Election workers must be registered to vote at an address within the District and may not be related by blood or marriage to a current Director or to any of the candidates running to serve on the District’s Board of Directors. The District needs two (2) Election Judges and as many Poll Workers as possible.
- Presiding Judge and Alternate Judge – Election Judges will be paid $20.00 per hour, including training time. One of either the Presiding Judge or the Alternate Judge must open and close the polling location on the dates/times listed below. Either may also be a poll worker.
- Poll Workers – Poll workers will be paid $17.00 per hour, including training time. Voting will be by paper ballot. Poll workers will be provided a list of registered voters and will be responsible for ensuring that only qualified voters of the District are permitted to vote.
SK Law is the District’s general counsel and Agent for Election matters. An email will be sent from SK Law to all prospective election workers regarding the training date(s), as well as a link to the online platform “Sign Up Genius” where the election workers will be able to select dates and times to work. There must be two (2) election workers on duty at all times.

Directors’ Election
Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 96 (the “District”), which is the water district that is responsible for water, sewer, and drainage in Fall Creek, will be holding a Directors’ Election for two (2) Board of Director positions. The District is a political subdivision of the State of Texas and is subject to provisions of the Texas Election Code, including conducting elections.

ELECTION WORKERS
Election workers must be persons who are registered to vote at an address within Fall Creek and may not be related by blood or marriage to a current Director of the District or to any of the candidates running to serve on the Board of the District.

SK Law is the District’s general counsel and Agent for Election matters. An email will be sent from SK Law to all prospective election workers regarding the training date(s), as well as a link to “Sign Up Genius” where the election workers will be able to select dates and times to work. There will be two (2) election workers on duty at all times. Work sessions on Sign Up Genius can be for a minimum of 1‑hour or maximum of 4-hour sessions.
