HOUSTON, Texas, October 23, 2026 – Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 96 (the “Water District”) is deeply saddened by the shooting at the Fall Creek Sports Complex on October 18 at approximately 9:30 p.m., which claimed one life and injured several others. The thoughts of the Board of Directors of the Water District are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
The Water District, which owns and operates the Fall Creek Sports Complex, is cooperating with local law enforcement in the active investigation and cannot provide further details or comment at this time. Although the Water District understands the community’s need for answers, please direct questions regarding the investigation to the investigating law enforcement agency.
